Happy Mother’s Day!
You are the hush beneath the chaos,
The breath between my words and fears,
The one who stitched light into shadow,
Who taught me grace in silent years.
“A mother is she who can take the place
Of all others…” — but you are space.
Not just a flame, you are the fire,
Not just a path, but the entire way.
You built a sky from broken weather,
Held me firm when I couldn’t stay.
“All that I am…” — it lives in your hands,
In every whisper my heart still understands.
So here—take this day, this poem, this pause.
It’s small, I know, beside all you’ve done.
But let it hold the truth I’ve carried:
That you are my moon, my earth, my sun.
The world will call today Mother’s Day—
But every day is yours, in every way
